Australian HomeBuilder grant
In early June 2020, the Australian Government announced a $25,000 HomeBuilder grant to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home.
This grant is available to eligible owner-occupiers, including first home buyers.
Build contracts or renovation contracts must be signed between 4 June and 31 December 2020 and construction must commence within three months of the contract date.
The HomeBuilder grant will be administered via the state governments, through a National Partnership Agreement (NPA).
Information about eligibility and the application process will be made available through the Queensland Office of State Revenue. This includes details on how the grant can be accessed and when it will be paid.
